This is an advocacy website by George Noelke. The goals are to promote open government and civics, and to increase citizen interaction with the local government in the small West Texas town of Mertzon, Texas, his hometown. It all started in 2016 with his seemingly simple enough request to his next door neighbor, Irion County ISD, to stop flooding his 1910 home with its rainwater runoff. Matters got complicated in a hurry as soon has he started voicing that request in public meetings...
